DIABLO® III UNVEILED

Blizzard Entertainment® announces highly anticipated sequel at 2008 Worldwide Invitational in Paris

PARIS, France - June 28, 2008 - Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today revealed Diablo® III, the newest entry in its critically acclaimed action role-playing-game franchise. The announcement was made during the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment® Worldwide Invitational at the Porte de Versailles Convention Centre in Paris, France. A cinematic trailer and an extended gameplay demonstration with commentary from the development team introduced the game to the thousands of players in attendance.

“We’ve wanted to expand on the epic story and gameplay elements of the Diablo universe for some time now,” stated Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We know that players have also been long awaiting a return to the series, so we’re very excited to be sharing this announcement with Blizzard gamers here in Paris and around the world today.”

Diablo III will pick up the story twenty years after the events of Diablo II. Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone, which once shielded the inhabitants of the world of Sanctuary from the forces of both the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, has been destroyed, and evil once again stirs in Tristram. Playing as a hero from one of five distinct character classes, players will acquire powerful items, spells, and abilities as they explore new and familiar areas of Sanctuary and battle hordes of demons to safeguard the world from the horrors that have arisen. The first two characters classes — the barbarian and the witch doctor — were shown as part of the announcement at the event today in Paris.

Diablo III will feature a custom 3D-graphics engine to render lush indoor and outdoor areas of Sanctuary with a high level of detail and vivid special effects. The game’s physics-enhanced environments will be interactive and destructible, offering traps and obstacles that create added danger for players and monsters alike. These elements, along with a new quest system and random scripted events, will be integrated into the game’s random-level generator, giving Diablo III the ultimate combination of dynamic gameplay and replayability. Cooperative and competitive play will be available online through an upgraded version of Blizzard Entertainment’s renowned online gaming service, Battle.net®.

Blizzard Entertainment is developing Diablo III for simultaneous release on the Windows® and Macintosh® PC platforms. Further information about the game, including details on the other character classes, major new features for the single-player and multiplayer components, system requirements, pricing, and availability, will be announced as development progresses. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky - New Details

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky:Welcome back to the Zone!

GSC Game World and Deep Silver release new details about the prequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl

Hermosa Beach- Jun 26, 2008 S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl was one of the best-selling first-person shooters of 2007. In late August 2008, the Ukrainian developers from GSC Game World and the publisher Deep Silver will invite gamers to join them on a new foray into the nuclear zone: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky is set one year before the events of part 1 - at a time when the Zone is changed forever by a huge anomalous eruption of energy.

War of factions
In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky, the player assumes the role of Scar, a mercenary s.t.a.l.k.e.r. In a unique mixture of first-person shooter and complex role- playing game, Scar fights for survival within the Zone and its hostile sectors. The new Zone territories are explored by s.t.a.l.k.e.r.s scattered in groups - and these individual factions soon engage in relentless battle. As a mercenary, Scar quickly finds himself in the middle of a war of factions over territory, artifacts, and power. It is up to the player to find out on whose side Scar has the greatest chance of prevailing.

Clever adversaries, luscious graphics
Just like its predecessor, Clear Sky perfectly captures the sinister atmosphere within the death Zone. DirectX 10 support enables spectacular graphics, including dynamic transitions between day and night with absolutely realistic light effects, as well as very detailed landscapes and lifelike animations. At the same time, the developers saw to it that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky also works with DirectX 8 and DirectX 9.

Special attention was given to realistic, independent thinking and actions of the NPCs. The artificial intelligence from the predecessor game was strongly improved, so that foes and allies now make their own situation-based decisions that impact the further course of the game. For instance, the outcome of battles is not predetermined. Only in the last few levels is the player guided towards a given end of the story, which leads to the events described in Shadow of Chernobyl.

Key features
• Unique mix of action-laden first-person shooter and complex role-playing game
• Gigantic scope: many new levels are available, plus some completely overhauled levels from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and many side quests with motivating rewards
• Realistic simulation of the extensive S.T.A.L.K.E.R. world: enemy factions fight each other, mutants hunt of their own accord.
• Intermediate movie-quality cut scenes complement the thrilling back-story leading up to the events of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl
• Numerous new in game features, such as fast travel, or extensive modification and repairing armor and weapons
• Greatly improved artificial intelligence
• Complete DirectX 10 support for state-of- the-art graphic effects (God rays, soft particles, SSAO, dynamic volumetric smoke, dynamically wetting surface (rain effect) etc.)
• Dynamic transitions between day and night with realistic weather effects
• Detailed graphics, including an all-new animation engine
• Hugely expanded multiplayer part with many varied game modes and up to 32 players online or over LAN.

Fans Will Get a Sneak Preview of All-New Guitar Hero® World Tour and Watch A Guitar Hero Competition on Center Stage

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jun 25, 2008 - This summer, Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq:ATVI) Guitar Hero®, the #1 best selling video game franchise of 2007, will go coast-to-coast with the American Idols Live! Tour 2008, kicking off in Glendale, Ariz. on July 1. The sponsorship fuses the two pop culture phenomenons together for a second time, building on the success of the dual-branded “Risky Business” TV advertisements that featured season seven winner David Cook and finalist David Archuleta last month. In the upcoming 53-city tour, concert-goers will be among the first to experience three of the newest Guitar Hero games, the highlight of which will be a sneak-peak video demonstration of Guitar Hero World Tour, which officially hits shelves this fall.

The 10 “Idol” tour finalists will be part of a halftime Guitar Hero World Tour rockumentary, created by advertising agency DDB, that blends the camaraderie of hanging out in the studio with the franchise’s latest transformation of music gaming - a slick newly redesigned guitar, a genuine electronic drum kit and a microphone. In each city, expert shredders will also face-off on center stage, and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith and Guitar Hero: On Tour will be available for everyone to play in a booth throughout the tour.

“The American Idols Live! Tour is for families to immerse themselves in the Idol experience first-hand, and what better way to bring a personalized, super star feeling to life than by playing Guitar Hero,” said Iain Pirie, head of 19 Entertainment U.S. “Integrating Guitar Hero into the tour gets fans actively involved and provides an added dose of entertainment that we know they’ll love.”

“The Guitar Hero franchise is continually searching for new and organic ways to connect with music fans,” said Robert Kotick, Chairman and CEO, Activision, Inc. “Linking the concert-going experience with a chance for people to feel like they are taking center stage with Guitar Hero delivers on just that. By going from town to town alongside ‘American Idol,’ we are building a strong community and providing new ways for families and friends to spend time together by sharing the magic of music.”

This week, rockers of all ages can enjoy two new video games from the Guitar Hero franchise, including:

- Guitar Hero: On Tour - For the first time ever, Guitar Hero fans can rock out anytime, anywhere with Guitar Hero: On Tour. Designed specifically for the Nintendo DSTM, Guitar Hero: On Tour is bundled with a revolutionary Guitar HeroTM Guitar GripTM and is currently available in stores nationwide.

- Guitar Hero: Aerosmith - Rock this way with America’s greatest rock n’ roll band, Aerosmith. Relive the band’s illustrious career from their early days at Nipmuc High School and continue on their journey to becoming rock royalty. Available on June 29, 2008 for Xbox 360®, PlayStation® 2, PLAYSTATION® 3 and Nintendo WiiTM.

BLIZZARD® AUTHENTICATOR OFFERS ENHANCED SECURITY FOR WORLD OF WARCRAFT® ACCOUNTS

Keychain token generates unique codes used to help prevent unauthorised account access

PARIS, France - Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. today introduced an optional extra layer of security for World of Warcraft®, its award-winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game. Designed to attach to a keychain, the lightweight and waterproof Blizzard® Authenticator is an electronic device that generates a six-digit security code at the press of a button. This code is unique, valid only once, and active for a limited time; it must be provided along with the account name and password when signing in to the World of Warcraft account linked to it.

This optional security measure will be available for a cost of €6.00 at the 2008 Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational, which takes place June 28-29 in Paris, France. In addition, the Blizzard Authenticator will be made available for purchase via Blizzard Entertainment’s European websites in the near future for a cost of €6.00 plus shipping.

“It’s important to us that World of Warcraft offers a safe and enjoyable game environment,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “One aspect of that is helping players avoid account compromise, so we’re pleased to make this additional layer of security available to them.”
