Come Get Some! Apogee Brings Duke Nukem 3D and More Hits to GOG.com
Rise of the Triad, Blake Stone and Mr. Nukem Himself Join DRM-Free Classic Games Site
GOG.com (http://www.gog.com), the DRM-free classic games site that’s as irresistible and satisfying as your granny’s apple pie, is absolutely ecstatic to announce Apogee Software as the latest publisher to sign on with the site. The nostalgic thrill-ride begins with today’s release of one of the greatest shooters… no, strike that… one of the greatest games of all time, Duke Nukem 3D (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/duke_nukem_3d_atomic_edition), for just $5.99.
Oh, but that’s not all! Apogee keeps bringing the hits, as Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/duke_nukem_manhattan_project), Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/blake_stone_aliens_of_gold), Blake Stone: Planet Strike (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/blake_stone_planet_strike) and Rise of the Triad: Dark War (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/rise_of_the_triad__dark_war) will be added to the GOG.com catalogue in the coming weeks. As with everything we release at GOG.com, the games are DRM-free, guaranteed to work on Vista and XP and packed with scrumptious bonus materials.
Does Duke really need an intro? The wisecracking intergalactic badass with some sort of invisible woman-magnet inside his chiseled frame is a gaming icon, and Duke Nukem 3D features Duke in his greatest performance yet. Duke returns to Earth after various space-based adventures to find the planet – and Los Angeles in particular – overrun by scum. Alien scum, that is! The only reasonable option he has is to kick some ass, and kick it he does. The game set a new standard for 3D shooters, mixing state-of-the-art visuals with humor and sexually explicit content.
“Duke Nukem 3D at GOG.com? Hell yeah! We’re very excited about adding this landmark game to GOG.com,” said Adam Oldakowski, Managing Director of GOG.com. “Apogee’s titles are all top-notch, and we know that our great fan community will love them all.”
“Like Apogee, GOG.com is bringing back legendary titles, not only for the hardcore gamers that made these titles popular, but also for an expanded online community eager to play the classic games that started it all,” says Matt Tolleson, VP of Business Development for Apogee. “Teamed with GOG, Apogee is looking forward to providing a little nostalgia as well as a lot of fun to that community!”
Duke Nukem 3D is now available at GOG.com, with other Apogee titles coming soon. Stay tuned for more news concerning new deals, more new releases and new service features in the upcoming weeks.
Man, I can’t wait for ROtT. I remember that game being the first time I had to upgrade my first PC…from 1MB ram to 4MB ram! I think my cell phone has 200MB of ram….crazy days!
In Galaxy Online (http://go.igg.com), you can design blueprints for warships, create them and then found your own fleets. It’s all up to you!
In the warship design interface, you can design the blueprints of your warships. In the beginning, there are few hulls and modules available. As you develop Science gradually, more and much higher level hulls and modules will be available and then you can design more and more powerful, interesting and (or) characteristic warships. The design of your ships is totally up to you!
A good team must have a good leader. That is why Galaxy Online contains a perfect commander system. In the game, you are a commander and you can lead a fleet to explore the unknown world. Besides the default commander, you can recruit more commanders which are mainly classified into common commanders and special commanders of different levels. When recruiting a commander, getting a good commander or not all depends on your luck, which adds much fun to the game. Besides, you can name your commanders. So, do not forget to name your commanders a cool name after recruiting them.
When you have warships and commanders, you can found your personal fleets. On the fleet creation interface, you can array your warships. But note that the warships’ formation will affect your fleet’s power and defense greatly in combat. So, arrange your warships carefully. Anyway, just try your ideas out time and again, you will found the most powerful and characteristic fleets one day.

Ever since the Egyptians picked cats as gods, dogs took offense indignantly, but this one was to decide the matter once and for all. A battle built for thousands of years finally kicked off in Wonderland, Aries server, on February 22th.
Being intrigued by the above lines, I decided to find out what all was about. As I walked along, I noticed a lot of people with different cute animal pets heading in the same direction. Following the crowd, I entered Holy church. It was full of people, and random battles were already breaking out.
Battle Ground1 Battle 22
As the minutes dragged on, the crowd slowly dwindled and the teams became more apparent.
Battle 33
Then the official battles started. The rules were that only pets could fight, no buffs or attacks by characters were allowed. However, like many other games people did not listen (or chose not to). The GM stated the rules over and over again, and warned any team violating them would be automatically disqualified. With rule breakers forced out of ground, battles between truly cats and dogs start!
Battle 44
It is a shame that I didn’t come early enough to register my kitty to participate the battle. It is so entertaining just watching by! I soon registered myself for the next battle. Here I highly recommend this event to you. You really can’t miss it! J (Thank you for Gvansta providing this source)

To participate into this endless fun battle, come into Wonderland Online (http://wl.igg.com)

Hard rocking Southern and Christian band Disciple will play Halo 3 with Xbox LIVE Gold members March 1. If you’re an Xbox LIVE Gold member (if not, upgrade now!), and you want a chance to play with Disciple, send a friend request to the following Gamertags and be online half an hour before (3:30 P.M. ET) the Game with Fame session starts on Sunday, March 1, 4:00 P.M. ET. If you get a chance to play with Disciple, we want to hear about it! Send us an e-mail (xlmail@microsoft.com) with the subject: “GWF – Disciple.” Be sure to include your Gamertag and home town. Disciple is one of the hardest rocking bands around, and they bring their unique sound to a crescendo in Southern Hospitality, their third full-length released on INO Records. Their hit single “After The World” topped Christian rock charts for a number of weeks and their 2006 album, Scars Remain, won the GMA Dove Award for Rock Album of the Year.
Now, with Southern Hospitality, they come into our living rooms, on our car stereos, and on stages around the world blasting out pure rock and roll. The band consists of Kevin Young (vocals), Tim Barrett (drums), Andrew Welch (guitar), Micah Sannan (guitar), Israel Beachy (bass), and Brad Noah (studio guitar). Noah was one of the band’s founding members, but has eschewed the touring routine, and focuses solely on his guitar work and recording. Young notes of Noah’s guitar virtuosity, “Games like Guitar Hero have made it cool to play guitar again. Brad is playing solos in nearly every song. I don’t mean mamby-pamby little things. I mean he’s wearin’ it out. If you’re a guitar player, this will definitely be your favorite Disciple record.”
Look for Disciple records wherever music is sold!

Ubisoft announced today that it has partnered with Gold’s Gym, the world’s leading authority on health and fitness, to create the video game Gold’s Gym: Cardio Workout. Licensed by Rocket Co., Ltd., the game will be in North America stores on March 31, 2009 and it will be available exclusively for the Wii home video game system from Nintendo.
“We are excited to partner with Ubisoft on our first video game,” commented Lisa Zoellner, chief marketing officer of Gold’s Gym International. “It is a natural extension of our brand and is in line with our mission to get more people around the world excited about exercise and fitness. We believe that the game will provide consumers with a workout that is both fun and rewarding.”
Compatible with the Wii Balance Board accessory, the game provides players with a personal training experience. Players can perform a variety of exercises including cardio boxing, running, sit-ups and other activities while also tracking burned calories and body weight evolution. In addition, the game offers multiple training modes and fitness levels, and the difficulty of the gameplay evolves as the player’s fitness level increases.
“As a leader in personal training, we are thrilled to collaborate with Gold’s Gym on a new cardio workout game,” said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. “In order to provide an authentic Gold’s Gym experience the game will incorporate gym signage and dialogue into the game.”
As part of the partnership, the game will be co-marketed by Gold’s Gym and Ubisoft. Each game will include a coupon for a one week free trial to Gold’s Gym. In addition, Gold’s Gym Cardio Workout will be featured throughout the Gold’s Gym clubs, on the Gold’s Gym website, and the game trailer will be displayed on the Gold’s Gym Broadcast Network. A demo of the game will also be available at various Gold’s Gym facilities.

The new screen shots depict three of Warrior Epic’s six classes in different, stunning environments. The Devotress can be seen in gleaming armor doing battle deep in the mines of Welkin Warrens with a robotic adversary. A Pit Fighter has found safe haven in a Providian camp nestled in the treacherous jungles of Aberas, while an Illusionist fights against all odds in the mysterious Faustus Estate. For more information on Warrior Epic, and to register for the upcoming beta visit www.warriorepic.com.
Warrior Epic (www.warriorepic.com) is an online, action role-playing game set in an original fantasy universe. In the game, players will assume command of a Warrior Hall from which they manage their characters’ adventures. They can recruit from a wide array of Warrior Classes, each with its own style of play. The Classes and the Hall itself can be upgraded visually as well as functionally. Players adventure together in multiplayer campaigns, adventure mode, solo quests and PVP.
One of the most unique aspects of Warrior Epic is that death does not mean the end of a warrior. Instead, it opens totally new and strategic options for players. The game’s unique Warrior Spirits System enables fallen warriors to not only be revived at any time at their hall, but also to be transformed into Spirits that can be bound to weapons to increase and open weapon abilities and skills, or they can be called out to inflict massive damage depending on player needs.
Unlike most MMO’s today, Warrior Epic will offer players a satisfying online experience even if they have only a few hours a week to play. One of the ways Warrior Epic achieves this is by putting a heavy emphasis on focused, session-based missions. These 20-30 minute sessions allow a player to make significant progress in regards to leveling their Warrior, gaining loot, and accomplishing more in a much shorter timeframe than other existing games.
