After the Nightmare Cave was released for Angels Online (http://ao.igg.com/main.php), players found a new instance called “Magic Kitchen Path” to challenge. This is no easy place to level up a new character though, if players are serious about challenging the monsters and bosses there, they need to reach Level 70-80 first. Today, the Angels Online team is introducing the filth that has built up along the Magic Kitchen Path.

In the Dragon Graveyard, players will find Chef Boship. Chef Boship will then ask players to go find Michael in the Angel Lyceum. Michael in turn will send players to the Sad Abyss to find Mayole. There they must help him collect the four precious herbs needed to produce an antidote.

After they obtain the antidote, players will be able to enter the Magic Kitchen Path. There are 5 steps to completing this instance with each step featuring a different monster for players to defeat.

1st Step: Guard Fasit
Guard Fasit looks like one of the stone monsters from the Megalith Plains, but he is brighter in color and possesses powerful melee attack abilities. Before facing him, players must first eliminate all the smaller monsters in the area. When the battle begins, players can focus on restoring the main tank’s HP. However, Guard Fasit will go mad with bloodlust when he is reduced to half HP. All of the damage he deals will be increased by 100%. This barrage of attacks will force all players in the team to make all their DPS and watch out for his AOE skills.

After defeating Guard Fasit, players can move to the next step

2nd Step: Guard Fire Barft
Players don’t need to worry about eliminating all the smaller monsters here. There are no appetizers before the main course. Although, if players do decide to avoid the smaller monsters, they need to move carefully so they won’t be trapped by a group of them. Guard Fire Barft possesses high fire damage and is looking forward to roasting some Angels for dinner. Because of this, players should equip fire resistant clothes or armor, especially the main tank. However, Guard Fire Barft doesn’t have high output damage or any AOE skills so it should be easy to defeat him if they can resist the lure of the flames.

3rd Step: Soul Slalin
Players must remember to carry enough HP and SP potions before they begin the fight with Soul Slalin. This pure mage has low defensive abilities at the beginning of the battle, but it will become a Soul-eating Demon after it is killed. This is when the REAL battle starts. What’s worse, it will transform into an evil demon twice. The team’s main tank must attract its attention once it appears, because it can kill mages or other low defense classes with one strike.

4th Step: Annoying Clerk
Players will find the Annoying Clerk once they’ve entered the 4th step. He will invite players to participate in a contest requiring them to kill more than 50 monsters in only 10 minutes. Team work becomes very important then. Teams should have at least two players who with good AOE skills so that they can eliminate groups of monsters as opposed to one on one. After they win the contest, they can enter the Evil Cook’s room.

5th Step: The Evil Cook
The Evil Cook can be reborn as many times as he likes without limit. The team’s main tank must keep its attention at all times, because the Evil Cook can deal powerful output damage to a single target. Attacking the Cook directly will not work, players must attack the smaller monsters he summons, causing it to lose HP. The more monsters players kill, the more HP the Evil Cook will lose. But players must be careful! It can transform into a fly and summon Recovery Towers to continually restore its HP. Destroying these Recovery Towers first is a good strategy to defeat the Evil Cook quickly.

Players will obtain a Devil Key after they’ve killed the Evil Cook. Taking this key, they should go find the Archangel on the Megalith Plains and accept the quests from him. These quests will eventually lead players to the Gulp Room!

Ubisoft to publish in major territories, Midway to direct development for highly-anticipated Vin Diesel driving game

Midway Games Inc. announced today that it has entered into a strategic relationship with Ubisoft to publish Wheelman, the highly-anticipated open-world driving game starring action-film megastar Vin Diesel as an expert driver for hire. Ubisoft will handle sales, marketing, and distribution of the title in North America, South America, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany, Austria, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Midway will continue to direct the development of the title and retains all future rights to the franchise and will sell the title in all other European territories.

Wheelman is scheduled for a March 24, 2009 ship date in North America and a March 27, 2009 street date in Europe for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Windows PC. A pre-launch demo is also planned for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
