GodsWar Online: Show Your Pride and Power with Titles

Thursday, June 23rd, 2011

In GodsWar Online (http://gw.igg.com), titles are more than a sign of your accomplishments; they’re also a way to improve your character’s stats. With a rich variety of titles to choose from, players have a chance to visibly boast of their prowess while adding to it. After earning a title, simply activate it and your achievement will be plain to see as it floats above your head instantly boosts your stats. To learn more about the many types of titles available, check out the following categories, then log in and try some out for yourself to discover the benefits of your bragging rights.

Advancement Titles
To win such a title, players must meet certain level and power requirements. For example, when a Mage has reached Level 40 and increased spell power to 220, they can choose the Star Ray title. Advancement title requirements vary from class to class.

Quest Titles
These titles are earned by completing specific quests available to players who have advanced to the prerequisite level. For example, the “Hero’s Trial 1” quest is only available to level 70+ players and awards the Hero’s Path title upon completion. Most of these quests are difficult for characters near the minimum required level, so completing them early can earn you a great deal of respect.

Stat Titles
Some titles unlock once you’ve met some stat requirements. One good way to quickly augment stats is by equipping better gear, so improving your equipment can turn out to be doubly valuable. One example is the Lion’s Blood title, earned when a player’s maximum health reaches 20,000.

Event and Instance Titles
While these can only be obtained by participating in events and exploring instanced zones, you’ll also need to perform well to earn such titles. Scoring high enough will require a team that works well together, so these titles can be a challenge to unlock. Others are simply about beating incredible odds. For instance, the proud Greek Polymath title is only awarded for finishing in first place during a Quiz Contest that is open to all players on a server.

Marriage Titles
Only characters who get married in the game are awarded these titles. These unique, personalized titles mark you as somebody’s husband, somebody’s love, and so on. While ceremonies are nice, to earn the best titles in this category, you and your partner will need to overcome some serious challenges.

Angels Online: Expansion Features Exotic Locations and New Skills

Friday, June 3rd, 2011

For many years, the Angels Online fantasy MMORPG has offered players fun and excitement in a 2D anime-style package bursting with dazzling effects and cool features. As new players join the fun, the Angels Online community continues to grow. With the release of the recent Primordial Paradise Expansion, a host of new content has players excited about new challenges.

The expansion added seven new maps featuring untamed wildernesses and amazing adventures. Players will come face-to-face with the toughest of wild beasts. Each map has its own theme and layout.

Journey down the winding roads of the Dragon Graveyard to discover your first destination: the Lost Cove.

Lost Cove
The Lost Cove is littered with the bones of wild beasts, humans and all manner of strange creatures. Some of these stacks of remains are as tall as an elephant. In the damp, murky corners of the cove, some strange-colored herbs grow wild. It is a long and terrifying tunnel of darkness, so gear up and find the fastest route through this moldy place to the next destination: Boulder Village.

Boulder Village
Compared to the dark and dank Lost Cove, Boulder Village is a breathtaking sight. Here you will find brightly-colored flowers, steep, vine-covered stone walls and a seemingly peaceful brook that meanders off into the distance. This place has been touched by human hands and leads you to the home of one of the local native tribes living in the region.

Hoca Village
Hoca Village is where many natives call home. Exposed to the harsh elements from birth, they have developed defenses against the dangers of their surroundings and have impressive constitutions. In Hoca Village, the houses are constructed from stone and wood gathered from the nearby mountains, almost entirely crafted by hand. Though their lives may seem tough, even the youngest children enjoy a happy and carefree lifestyle, far from the bustle of modern towns.

Rex Point
Next to Hoca Village lies Rex Point, the natives’ training ground. Much like a school or an academy, here they learn skills passed down from one generation to the next, such as hunting, fishing, fighting and animal taming. There is no competition to prove who is best and therefore no stress or pressure. Everyone believes teamwork and cooperation are the way to get things done. Their transportation system is primitive, using animals to carry food and game to the storage centers located at the main village centers.

Raven Riverpoint
Raven Riverpoint is the natives’ breadbasket. The area is stocked with rich resources and dark, fertile soil, making it the perfect paradise for gatherers seeking to collect high-quality materials. The village’s production industry relies heavily on the materials gathered from this area to feed their livelihoods, making it a crucial resource for all their people.

Hunter’s Ridge
The hilly region of Hunter’s Ridge lies opposite Hoca Village. It is the natives’ most important hunting area, a vital location that provides valuable skins and meat needed to clothe and feed the people of the village.

Shilly Desert (Instance: Dino Arena)
Beyond the boundaries of Hoca Village lies the deadly Shilly Desert. Deep in the desert is the Dino Arena. This is where the fiercest native warriors live, training night and day to master their skills. A number of violent incidents and close brushes with these fierce warriors have prompted the leader of the Hoca Village to cordon off the area to protect the lives of the villagers. The Dino Arena is a worthy challenge for any angel looking to test their prowess against the very best.

Battle Stances and Spells
The Primordial Paradise expansion is not just about new locations, equipment and quests. It also added a series of new skills that will help players overcome the many new and deadly experiences that await them. These ancient skills are the true legacy of warriors who fought during ages lost to history. Passed down to the battle-tested natives, these skills encompass many different styles of combat.

These skills grant incredible powers of destruction. For the power-hungry, they are a dream come true. Unlike modern combat methods, these ancient skills focus on disarming and securing opponents. These raw forms of ancient martial skills and magic spells are still extremely effective on the battlefield.

Tales of Pirates II: Dig for Treasure

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

What’s a pirate’s life without a treasure map and some digging on that X-spot? This week Tale of Pirates (http://top2.igg.com) officials have cast the spotlight on the all-time favorite feature Treasure Digging system, showing how a pirate’s life goes beyond cutting down barnacled monsters in Tales of Pirates II.

If you reach Level 41, you can approach Treasure Hunter Leya in Argent City and spend 2,000 G to purchase a Killing Token. Inscribed on the token will be the last known coordinates of robbers who made off with precious treasures from the city. Hunt down these scurvy dogs and recover a map to their hidden loot. These bounty quests can be done several times a day. By nabbing these infamous hoodlums, you will improve their chances of uncovering the whereabouts of the rarest treasures.

Getting your hands on a map is simply the beginning. Using the coordinates on the map, you will embark on a grand journey across the waves and the continents in search of these hidden riches. What might be concealed under the layers of sand and dust? You will need to dig to find out. Wondrous rewards await those who make the effort, including gold, copious amounts of EXP, Death Set Parts which will yield the ultimate Death Set Armor, and items from the item mall which could only be bought with real-life cash.

Of course, with robbers being a mischievous bunch, fake maps floating around are aplenty. If lady luck shines upon them, however, players may chance upon a portal to the mystical Fortune Room. The place is protected by ferocious guardians, and only the bravest buccaneers can defeat them and lay claim to the trove of amazing treasure of the secret room. Fancy your very own Baby Black Dragon? Want a powerful purple weapon? Or… the most epic weapon with incredible attack prowess, the legendary Evil Sword? All these and more will be the booty waiting in the Fortune Room for pirates with the most luck and pluck!

Treasure Digging is but one of many exciting features found in TOP II. Join the game now and immerse yourself in the exhilarating thrills and spills of a pirate’s life!

2029 Online: Central Bus Station Strategies

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

The Central Bus Station, a medium map in 2029 Online (http://2029.igg.com), is the main combat area for players between Level 10 and Level 20. There are tons of quests available to players in the Central Bus Station and Ever-bright City, so here are some strategies for the best ways to complete them. With so many different quests, the requirements for finishing them are also varied. Some require teamwork, some can be done solo, and others can be repeated. No matter what you’re in the mood for, there’s always a quest to help you advance to the next level.

Team Quests
Central Bus Station features 3 powerful bosses: Gabby Heike (Level 16), Gabby Heike (Level 18), and Police Capt (Level 22). Since these bosses have high HP and powerful attacks, you’ll need a team if you want to challenge them. A team that includes a human (to restore HP) and a Dryad (with high HP) will have a better chance of overcoming these foes. Using such a mix allows the other team members to assist the tanks, but they should be careful not to use any mana skills to attack the boss, or it will turn its attention toward the caster.

Solo Quests
These quests can generally be completed by a single player, because the bosses are not as strong as those mentioned above. When you do solo quests, keep in mind that you may find it helpful to team up now and then if you need to face tougher monsters or collect rare quest items to finish a quest. This will save time you might otherwise spend trying to grind out a victory.

Repeatable Quests
There are 2 repeatable quests in the Central Bus Station: One is given by Researcher Claudia. The quest asks you to kill the biochemical hound and awards 7,300 EXP. Another quest is given by Scout De Rossi. This quest asks you to destroy the Patrol Eye and awards 6,000 EXP. If you run out of other quests, the repeatable ones help fill the gap before your next task becomes available. You’ll get EXP for killing monsters and reward EXP from the NPC, so it helps you level up more quickly than farming monsters at random. It’s best to join a team for the repeatable quests to run as many as you can as quickly as possible.

With these options, you’re sure to find a quest that’s right for your character’s level and skills. Before long, you’ll be moving on to new locations and challenges with plenty of fun and friendship to enjoy along the way.

GodsWar Online: New Way to Upgrade Holy Stones

Tuesday, May 31st, 2011

One of the best ways to improve equipment in GodsWar Online (http://gw.igg.com) is inserting Holy Stones. Until now, players have had a hard time finding high-level Holy Stones to keep their gear up to snuff. Using a new feature allowing players to trade a few Holy Stones for the next level Holy Stone now makes it much easier to keep up as you advance.

Holy Stones can be inserted into equipment using available sockets. Once the process is complete, the item ends up with the Holy Stone’s attribute. Since this attribute is mainly determined by the Holy Stone’s level, it’s important to have the best Holy Stones available. Before players would have to ask an NPC to upgrade their Holy Stones, and there were many pitfalls involved, such as lower chances of success for higher levels of Stones or greater chances of the Stone being downgraded.

The upcoming patch will allow players to take 4 Level 5-9 Holy Stones of the same level and type and turn them into a single Holy Stone at the next level. For example, 4x [Heated Holy Stone 5] upgrade to 1x [Heated Holy Stone 6].

Not all Holy Stones can be inserted into items; only Stones that have been filled with Holy Spirit can be inserted. There are two types of Holy Spirit. One improves attack and the other improves defense. Remember, equipment items can only take on certain attributes, so make sure you know which Holy Spirit you need before you add it to a Holy Stone.

Visit the official GodsWar Online site at http://gw.igg.com for additional details about Holy Stones. Visit http://www.igg.com to learn more about IGG’s growing family of games.

Voyage Century: Explore Mysteries of the Unknown World!

Wednesday, May 25th, 2011

Voyage Century’s (http://vc.igg.com) vivid graphics and ocean-bound warfare continue to draw fans to this 3D online game, but the fun doesn’t stop there. A special adventure system encourages players to explore the world in search of mysterious, unknown challenges and rewards.

What Is the Adventure System?
The adventure system allows players to venture into fantastic locations not previously known to inhabitants of the game world. From isolated islands to new species and ancient relics, there’s an entire unknown world of adventure waiting to be discovered. Players can even encounter monsters without names that will keep them on their toes. While this content is difficult for newbies, stronger players can take advantage of seemingly endless opportunities for adventure.

How Do I Explore the Unknown World?
While you walk along a coast, you may notice a shining spark. This is a clue to let you know that something precious is hidden there. Choose “Explore” in your interface to begin your “adventure trip.” To find even more surprises, equip a telescope. Exploring the area may yield a research diary you can exchange for money and reputation.

Tips for Exploring the Unknown World
When you land at an island during your travels, make sure you record the coordinates, or else you may miss out on new discoveries or even become lost at sea. You should also be careful of the monsters on an Adventure Island because they will usually auto-attack intrepid explorers and they have high attack power.

If you want to explore treasures hidden in the sea, it would be a good idea to use a assault ships to help you escape any pirates that might give chase. Exploring the sea requires a lot of sailors, so you may want to lower your sail to reduce your speed and save supplies.

If you find a new species or relic, the game will keep a record of it in your logbook. When you return home, you can visit an NPC that will help identify these items and award you money and reputation. You can obtain authentication by killing certain monsters. You can check for details about the authentication with the Identifiers. The rarer the items you find, the greater their value. Set sail today and make some amazing discoveries of your own!

GodsWar Online: Five Favorite Instances

Tuesday, May 24th, 2011

GodsWar Online (http://gw.igg.com) features a number of instanced zones that challenge and reward players at a range of different levels. Ancient Greek magic and mythology fill these adventures with fun, whether you’re a callow Level 50 on the rise or a Level 120 looking for ultra-rare goodies. Some of the zones have several difficulty levels so players at different points in their careers can jump in without being overmatched. Here’s a primer on our five favorite instanced zones in this popular MMORPG.

Bay Under Attack

To enter this zone, you need to be at least Level 50 and teamed with at least 2 players. The zone is laid out like a typical seaport. The monsters have a chance to drop spellbooks, gems, crystals, time-limited fashion items, and equipment items with four types of attribute boosts.

Training Ground

The Training Ground has 3 difficulty levels. Players can enter the easiest one beginning with Level 60. The intermediate range starts at Level 80, and the hardest opens at Level 91. The zone is a dark cavern divided into 7 areas, each of which is guarded by very different monsters. Upon exiting the zone each player will gain some experience and talent points as rewards based on performance.

Atlantis Portal

This zone is only available to those who have reached Level 90. The monsters there may seem cute, but watch out! They are actually quite dangerous. Some monsters in the zone can be tamed and turned into precious exp pills. You can also earn HardPoints in the zone. These can be used to buy class-specific and pet-specific items.

Medusa’s Island

Medusa’s Island has 2 difficulty levels and is considered one of the most challenging instanced zones in the game. The zone is only open to players Level 90 and above. Monsters in the zone can impair your movement, cast spells to cause damage over time, or use other tricks to test your teamwork. Players can earn SimplePoints that can be used to buy various items, including stones, senior gems and items required for creating vestments.

Wonderland

Only Level 120+ players can access the Wonderland and each may enter no more than twice per week. This zone is divided into 8 areas that vary in style and content. Each area has several scenarios to challenge players. Only after finishing a scenario can a player continue their adventures in the Wonderland. Each scenario can reward the player with ultra-rare items. The tough named monsters also offer awesome drops.

As players grow into new abilities and gear, there’s always an instanced zone waiting to put their skills to the test. Log in and try your hand at one of these five favorites today!
