Players Embark on a Quest to Destroy Dracula in Konami’s New 2D Side-Scroller

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Castlevania ReBirth is now available for download on Nintendo WiiWare. A regenerated version of the original 2D side-scrolling Castlevania: Adventure, Castlevania ReBirth brings back the classic adventure from Transylvania to the Nintendo Wii, providing players with the first ever downloadable Castlevania title.

In Castlevania ReBirth, Dracula is back from the dead with his legion of vampires causing disorder in the realms of Transylvania. Players assume the role of Christopher Belmont, the latest vampire slaying hero from the Belmont Clan that is tasked to restore order to the universe before Dracula and his foes take over. Equipped with the legendary whip, players must locate upgradable weapons and holy water to fend off vampires and reach Dracula’s layer in order to dethrone him once and for all.

Konami unveiled today, a new map, character and reward mode, all now available for METAL GEAR ONLINE, the ultimate squad-based, tactical-espionage action title based on the popular METAL GEAR SOLID franchise. The latest content will be available to players who have purchased the SCENE Expansion Pack.

Best suited for medium-to long-range combat, the new map — Icebound Inferno – will be recognized by fans of the franchise as the famed “Shadow Moses” map from the first METAL GEAR SOLID game. The map features an Arctic Island that consists of a large snowfield with buildings of varying heights.

In addition, the download allows players to use Old Snake as a unique character and the Octo-cam suit as a weapon. In a twist, Old Snake will not become completely invisible when using the suit, but will automatically blend with the environment. The latest download will also include an Auto Matching Reward mode in which the winner of the match wins more reward points than normal. When playing an individual match in this mode, only the winner receives the reward points while in a team match, the team member ranked first will win the reward points.

Metal Gear Online is the online multi-player experience that is included free in the retail version of METAL GEAR SOLID 4 GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS, developed exclusively for the PS3 computer entertainment system. Three expansion packs – GENE, MEME and SCENE – are currently available for purchase via METAL GEAR ONLINE’s in-game shop and Konami’s shop (https://mykonami.net/mgo/). Popular Survival Horror Series Resurrects True Terror With Debut on Wii

Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. today unveiled the latest iteration in the popular Silent Hill franchise scheduled to launch this fall on Wii, PS2 and PSP. Featuring an interactive user interface, improved puzzle system, and a psych profile that changes the experience based on the players’ gameplay choices, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories conveys the most fluid and realistic gameplay of the series to date.
