Harmonix and MTV Games announced today Nothing’s Shocking, the second album from eclectic alternative rock group Jane’s Addiction will be added to the Rock Band Music Store of downloadable content next week for Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.

Jane’s Addiction made its major-label debut with the release of Nothing’s Shocking in 1988. The album was well received by music critics and introduced fans to the hit “Jane Says,” which is now considered a signature track for the band. Nothing’s Shocking has since been named in Rolling Stone’s “Top 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.”

Next week’s Rock Band Music Store lineup will feature ten tracks from Nothing’s Shocking with “Mountain Song” from Nothing’s Shocking already featured on the Rock Band 2 soundtrack. The DLC album includes the following tracks:

Players Battle for Space Supremacy at the Helm of the Starships, Including the New U.S.S. Enterprise from the Highly Anticipated “Star Trek” Motion Picture

Paramount Digital Entertainment, Bad Robot Interactive, CBS and Naked Sky Entertainment today announced the launch of Star Trek: D-A-C, coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 this May, and to PlayStation Network and Windows PC shortly thereafter. Inspired by the upcoming “Star Trek” movie from Paramount Pictures, Star Trek: D-A-C is a fast-paced, top-down space shooter where players take the captain’s chair and engage in intense online multi-player or co-op battles. Gamers defend the Human Race against zombie attacks in upcoming downloadable game

Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced Zombie Apocalypse, an upcoming downloadable game for Xbox LIVE Arcade for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation Network. As heavily equipped gunslingers, Zombie Apocalypse sets players on a mission to destroy as many zombies as possible in order save the last remaining human survivors.

Using an array of up to 11 lethal weapons including assault rifles, flame throwers and a teddy bear filled with C4 explosives, up to four players can play locally or via the Internet to stop the zombie attacks and rescue survivors as they compete for the highest scores. Players can use a chainsaw to melee zombies and protect themselves against becoming one of the undead. As an added line of defense, players can also use environmental hazards to crush, burn, slice, or cause other types of destruction on the masses of zombies.

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that Chinese Democracy, the sixth and most recent album from Guns N’ Roses, will be released in its entirety to the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content on April 14, 2009.

The highly anticipated November 2008 release of Chinese Democracy was Guns N’ Roses’ first official music release in 15 years. It debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 chart, at #2 on the UK Albums chart and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America on February 3, 2009. Chinese Democracy has already sold nearly three million copies.

Formed in the early 80s in Los Angeles, Guns N’ Roses has sold an estimated 100 million albums worldwide. TikGames and Creat Studios today announced Smash Cars as the next release under the partnership between the two companies to deliver next-generation console games for download on the PS3. A follow-up to the original Smash Cars, Creat’s 2003 ‘no rules’ RC (radio-controlled) racing game, the successful franchise returns to the PlayStation and will be available for download Q2 2009 on the PS3, offered via Sony’s PlayStation Network.

Real-time physics, innovative stunts and next-generation graphics combine into a dynamic, tricked-out single and multiplayer RC car racing experience where players twist and turn, grind and gear up, performing aerial tricks and stunts while racking up trophies and points as they race to the finish, all in an unlikely location. Set on a beautiful and tranquil Mediterranean island, the fast-moving, bumper car gameplay style transforms this calm and relaxing setting into a dynamically frenzied raceway. A high-speed mini car racing game with a distinct arcade flavor, gameplay is presented from the unique perspective of a small RC vehicle, setting out to conquer the big world. Players can choose from the default Monster Truck style chassis, Buggy or Sports Car configurations, and a visit to the Workshop offers players the opportunity to personalize their vehicle by selecting paint color, glass styles, and decals. Additional body styles are unlocked as players advance.

Ten reached #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, sold more than 12 million copies and became one of the cultural touchstones of the 1990s. Songs such as “Alive,” “Black,” “Even Flow” and”Jeremy” became staples of rock radio, and still make frequent appearances on the band’s ever-changing concert setlists.
