In this demo, players will discover a stunningly rich universe and will be able to build their own gigantic metropolises while exploring the Orient.

About Dawn of Discovery

Dawn of Discovery takes place in the year 1404, when King George’s land is suffering from severe droughts and brutal famine. Aware of his people’s distress, the king calls on his two sons, William and Edward, to acquire new territories in order to produce enough goods to satisfy the needs of his empire’s inhabitants. Whereas Edward suggests aggressive means to collect the precious resources, his brother William offers a peaceful solution, proposing to explore new and unsettled lands in the south of the kingdom. With his Father’s blessing, William heads south to the mysterious Orient and returns with valuable new technologies such as the water pump that allows dry lands to be cultivated in order to produce enough food for the people. Harmonix and MTV Games today announced 25 tracks from artists including Soundgarden, Motley Crue, Rush and from artists performing at this year’s Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival coming this week to the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content for the Wii™ system.

Bonnaroo is a four-day annual festival in Tennessee. Named the “Best Festival” by Rolling Stone in 2008, Bonnaroo is well known for its extensive and diverse musical line-up. Now, music lovers and gamers can experience part of that line-up with Rock Band. Master recordings from Ben Harper and Relentless7, Phish, Coheed and Cambria, Shooter Jennings and TV on the Radio will be made available June 16, in the Rock Band Music Store on Wii.

Rock Band is taking care of country fans on Wii this week as well, with tracks from Brad Paisley, Brooks & Dunn, Dierks Bentley, The Dixie Chicks and Miranda Lambert available June 16 in the Rock Band Music Store on Wii.

UBISOFT TOURS THE GLOBE WITH SHAUN WHITE SNOWBOARDING: WORLD STAGE

Ubisoft announced that it is collaborating again with Olympic Gold Medalist Shaun White in Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage. Developed by Ubisoft Montréal, the game will be available exclusively for the Wii(TM) system from Nintendo and will be on store shelves holiday 2009.

“Working with Shaun on the first title was an excellent experience,” said Antoine Guignard, Ubisoft producer of Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage. “The great public reception of Shaun White Snowboarding and the wonderful collaboration with Shaun made it a slam dunk for us to reunite to create a fun, new adventure for fans.”

Players will hit the slopes with Shaun White and his crew, but this time the stakes are higher as you pursue the world’s top competitions from a half-pipe in the middle of New York’s Time Square to the most prestigious competitions of France, Canada and Japan.

New Puzzle Platformer Traps Players In A World Where Nothing Is As It Seems

Majesco Entertainment Company, today announced Flip’s Twisted World exclusively for Wii. This unique puzzle platformer places the world literally in the palm of players’ hands as they navigate topsy-turvy worlds where up and down, and left and right are only a matter of perspective. Developed by Frozen North Productions, Flip’s Twisted World is expected to launch in January 2010.

Adventuring through five bizarre puzzle worlds, Flip must stop the destruction of the universe and restore The Master’s home to normal before he returns!

Players help Flip navigate his world by rotating the environment 90 degrees in any direction with a simple twist of the Wii Remote^TM. Pits become passages and obstacles transform into openings once players change their point of view. As Flip progresses through the game he’ll meet many unique characters – some helpful, others hurtful – and collect five magic tools to aid his journey home. Wii continues race to catch up to PS3 and 360 for Rock Band DLC content!Harmonix and MTV Games today announced 25 tracks coming this week to the Rock Band Music Store catalog of downloadable content for the Wii system, including hit songs from artists like David Bowie, The Police, The Zombies and industrial metal pioneers Ministry.

As previously announced, Wii Rock Band 2 owners will gain access this week to three tracks from Ministry, two classics from The Zombies and a single from The Cranberries. Additionally, 19 back-catalog tracks will be released for Wii in the Rock Band Music Store.

English rockers The Police have three tracks coming to the Wii Rock Band Music Store this week. “Can’t Stand Losing You” and “Roxanne” from the 1978 album, Outlandos d’Amour, and “Synchronicity II,” from The Police’s last studio album, Synchronicity, released in 1983.

Also this week, back-catalog tracks from Airbourne, Devil Driver, Dream Theater, Killswitch Engage, Machine Head, Hinder, Bad Religion, The Cult and GLaDOS will be released, as well as cover tracks as made famous by The Monkees, David Bowie and Sweet. Wii music fans can also download tracks from Harmonix’s own Bang Camaro, Count Zero and Freezepop.

The tracks from Ministry, The Zombies and The Cranberries will be released simultaneously with the weekly content update for other consoles.
